This Cookie Policy explains how KosmicSports LLC, a wholly‑owned subsidiary of Kosmic Edge LLC ("KosmicSports," "we," "us"), uses cookies and similar technologies on kosmicsports.com and our subdomains and applications (the "Services"). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. We also use similar technologies such as local storage, session storage, and pixels/tags. We refer to all of these as "cookies" in this Policy. Cookies can be:
Session cookies, which expire when you close your browser, or persistent cookies, which remain until they expire or you delete them; and
First‑party cookies, set by KosmicSports, or third‑party cookies, set by our service providers.
2. How We Use Cookies
We use cookies to:
keep you signed in and maintain your session securely;
remember your preferences (such as light/dark mode, the organization or league you are viewing, and your cookie choices);
operate core features (such as routing you to the correct organization/league subdomain);
keep the Services secure and detect abuse; and
understand usage and improve the Services through analytics — only where you have consented, if consent is required.
3. Categories of Cookies We Use
a. Strictly necessary (always on)
These are required for the Services to function and cannot be switched off in our systems. They include authentication/session cookies, security cookies, and cookies that remember your cookie choices and the tenant (organization/league) you are accessing.
*Examples:* session/authentication tokens, the `tenant‑slug` cookie used to route you to the correct organization or league, and your consent‑preference cookie.
b. Functional / preference
These remember choices you make to personalize your experience (for example, theme preference). Disabling them may reduce functionality.
c. Analytics / performance (consent‑based)
These help us understand how the Services are used so we can improve them. Where required, we load these only after you consent through our cookie banner, and we use consent‑mode controls so analytics tags do not fire until you allow them.
The analytics service we may use for this purpose is Google Analytics 4. We also use Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools to monitor search performance; these are verification tools that do not set cookies on your device when you visit our site.
d. Marketing / advertising
We do not currently use cookies for cross‑context behavioral advertising, and we do not sell your information. If this changes, we will update this Policy and obtain consent where required.
4. Your Choices
Consent banner. When required, we present a banner that lets you accept or decline non‑essential cookies. You can change your choice at any time by clearing the consent cookie in your browser, which will cause the banner to appear again.
Browser controls. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies and warn you before accepting them. Refer to your browser's help pages. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent the Services from working.
Do Not Track. Because there is no common industry standard for responding to "Do Not Track" browser signals, we do not currently respond to them. You can control cookies through our consent banner and your browser settings.
Analytics opt‑outs. You can opt out of certain analytics tools using the providers' opt‑out mechanisms (for example, the Google Analytics opt‑out browser add‑on).
5. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as our practices or the law change. We will update the "Last Updated" date and, for material changes, provide additional notice.
